  • Cease all DB Pension Transfers effective 1/3/2019
    1.0 Pursuant to section 55L(5)(a), the FCA hereby imposes the following requirements on APCL with immediate effect: a. The firm must immediately cease all regulated activities relating to defined benefit pension transfer business for which the Firm has Part 4A permissions. b. The Firm must not recommence any of the business described in paragraph 1.0 (a) above unless it has the FCA's prior written consent. 1.1 In relation to any pipeline business the Firm has with clients for defined benefit pension transfer business the Firm must: a. Cease to act for any affected client, whether this be a new, existing or proposed client. b. Contact product providers to stop transfers for affected clients. c. Contact affected clients to inform them that the Firm cannot complete the business on their behalf. d. In this requirement pipeline business refers to any defined benefit pension transfer business resulting from regulated activities undertaken by the Firm where a transfer of pension funds has been requested, but not completed.
