    “On 22 December 2021, the FCA published a decision notice against BlueCrest Capital Management (UK) LLP. The FCA considers that, between 1 October 2011 and 31 December 2015, BlueCrest Capital Management (UK) LLP failed to manage fairly a conflict of interest in breach of Principle 8 of the FCA’s Principles for Business.  As a consequence of this action, the FCA imposed a penalty of £40,806,700. This decision notice has been referred to the Upper Tribunal to determine what (if any) the appropriate action is for the Authority to take, and remit the matter to the Authority with such directions as the Tribunal considers appropriate.
