These must be retained in a form and at a location within the United Kingdom, to be notified to the Authority in writing by 5pm on 7 July 2026, such that they can be provided to the Authority, or a person named by the Authority, promptly on its request.
  • Notification requirements
    3. By 5pm on 7 July 2026, the Firm must publish in a prominent place on every website in its name (or that it operates) in a form to be agreed in advance with the Authority, a notice setting out the terms and effects of the Requirements. 4. The Firm must advise all existing customers who have not yet received an outcome from the Firm to contact an alternative debt advice body to seek further advice and must signpost those customers to the Money Helper website, https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/money-troubles/dealing-with-debt/debt-advice-locator 5. The Firm must, by close of business on 13 July 2026, notify in writing all customers referred to a debt solution provider in the last 12 months (from the date of this notice) of the imposition and effect of these Requirements and signpost those customers to Debt Advice Locator / Syndication / MoneyHelper. 6. Once the notifications referred to above have been made, the Firm must provide the Authority, within 24 hours (i) copies of the template notifications sent to all recipients referred to in sub-paragraphs (5), (ii) a list of all parties to whom notifications have been sent pursuant to sub-paragraphs (5), and (iii) confirmation that, to the best of its knowledge, the Firm has sent the notification pursuant to sub-paragraph (5) to all relevant parties.
