Having taken into account the directions and findings made by the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal in its Decision dated 18 January 2005 and Further Decision dated 27 May 2005 the FSA imposed a financial penalty of £575,000 on Legal & General Assurance Society Limited (L&G) pursuant to Section 206 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The case concerned mortgage endowment policies. The FSA Final Notice was issued to L&G on 6 June 2005.
