Newstead Clark cease DB Activity – effective 21/04/2023
1. Effective from the date of this application, the firm must immediately cease, to the extent it has not already ceased, all Defined Benefit pension transfers for which it has Part 4A permission. 2. In relation to any regulated Defined Benefit Pipeline Business (as defined below) the Firm must: a. cease to act for any Defined Benefit Pipeline Business client, whether this be a new, existing, or potential client. b. contact Defined Benefit Pipeline Business clients to inform them that the firm cannot complete the business on their behalf. c. contact product providers to instruct them to put on hold all transactions related to the Firm’s Defined Benefit regulated activities which have not yet been completed. 3. Newstead Clark Financial Services Ltd must provide written confirmation to the FCA that it is in compliance with these Requirements by 21 April 2023 and will remain in compliance until such time as it is notified in writing by the FCA that it may cease to do so. 4. The Requirements in this application are to take immediate effect on its acceptance by the FCA and notification of such to the firm by email. 5. The Requirements will stay in effect until the FCA is satisfied that they can be lifted.
