Restriction on W1tty Global Ltd
On 16 June 2026, W1tty Global Ltd (“the Firm”) entered into a Voluntary Undertaking with the FCA and agreed to the following conditions: 1. To refrain from onboarding any new customers without prior written consent from the Authority. 2. To refrain from providing any of the services that it is currently registered to provide as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution, which includes accepting any new customer funds or issuing or redeeming E-Money, without prior written consent from the Authority. 3. The Firm will notify all customers of the above conditions by 4pm on 17 June 2026, which will include a notice on its website. The Firm also entered into a Voluntary Variation of Permissions with the FCA and agreed to the following variation: 1. Within 5 working days of acceptance of this application by the Authority, the Firm will submit an application on Connect to remove the following regulated activities from its Authorisation: a. Services enabling cash placement on a payment account b. Services enabling cash withdrawals from a payment account c. Execution of payment transactions (not covered by a credit line) d. Execution of payment transactions (covered by a credit line) e. Issuing payment instruments or acquiring payments transactions f. Money remittance h. Issuing Electronic Money Both the Voluntary Undertaking and Voluntary Variation of Permissions will remain in place until further notice.
