Requirement 1 (restriction on regulated activities) 1. The Firm must immediately cease: a) advising on conversion or transfer of pension benefits; b) completing pipeline business in relation to the conversion or transfer of pension benefits; and/or c) providing confirmation that appropriate independent advice has been provided for the purpose of section 48 of the Pension Schemes Act 2015. Effective date 2. The Requirement in this application is to take immediate effect on its acceptance by the FCA and notification of such to the Firm by email. 3. The Requirement will stay in effect until the FCA is satisfied that it can be lifted and the firm is notified of that in writing by the FCA. Definitions and interpretation 4. In this application: a) terms have the same meaning as in the FCA Handbook, unless otherwise stated; b) “pipeline business” includes any business currently being processed where the transfer or conversion has not been completed, for example it has not yet been submitted to the trustees of the ceding arrangement and/or to the provider of the proposed arrangement.
